How to get trekking guide license in Nepal 2022

Getting a Trekking Guide License in Nepal is easy if you are interested to become an official trekking guide in Nepal. You will get a trekking guide license after you completed the guide training course offered by Nepal Academy of Tourism & Hotel Management (NATHM), Trekking Agencies Association of Nepal (TAAN) and Council for Technical Education and Vocational Training (CTEVT).

Training provided by CTEVT

The training course designed by CTEVT aims to provide the required trekking guide training to get the employment in the country and abroad.

The training will be executed by the industry experts who have a long experience in the trekking field as trekking guide.

After completing the training program, the trainees will be able to plan for the trekking, briefing about the trip, perform daily schedule work, do communication, provide first aid service in need, preventing from trekking risk, provide rescue and manage camp site.

The duration of the training will be two months (260 hours)

The group size of the training will be 20 in each batch.

The training will be provided in Nepali as well as English language.

The trainees should have 90% attendance in theory and practical for internal assessment and final examinations.

Trekking Guide License in Nepal provided by NATHM

Every year NATHM announces the trekking guide training in Nepal two times a year. The training will be held on winter and monsoon season each year.

Qualification: +2 passed or SEE passed with two year experience in the registered trekking agency.
