Pikey Peak Ultra Marathon on April
Okhaldhunga Tourism Development Committee is to organize half ultra-marathon on April 6 on the 21 kilomters route of Pikey Peak.
According to the organiser, the trail race will kick off from the altitude of 4,200 m on Pikey Peak and will go through the scenic Tholedemba ridge before culminating in Khijiphalate Bazaar at an altitude of 2,500 m at Khijidemba Rural Municipality in Okhaldhunga district on April 6.
The aim of the ultra marathon will be to promote the short and easy trek, Pikey Peak Trek.
More than 50 national and international athletes are expected to tak part in the marathon. The top three athletes in both men and women categories will receive NRs 50,000, Rs 40,000 and Rs 30,000 respectively, according to Sherpa.
