Taiwanese Tourist Missing in Annapurna

Himku River Annapurna Base Camp

A Taiwanes tourist Hui Ju of 66 has gone missing after being swept away by Himku river. He was swept away by the river in Annapurna rural municipality while returning from Annapurna Base Camp, the Ghandruk police says.

He might have slipped while crossing the river, the source reports.

Search operation has been carried out but not found till date. According to police, the rescue work is disturbed due to heavy rainfall.

Annapurna Base Camp trekking is the most popular trekking route in Annapurna area. About 1,00,000 trekkers visit this route every year.
